If there is not enough room on the windowsill for herbs in gardening, there may be a place where a hanging basket could be hung to grow the most needed ones. This particular basket has chives and parsley planted in the center of the basket where the root depth is the greatest. The other plants are oregano, tarragon and English Thyme. These grow well together in a potting mix of equal parts sand, soil and peat moss, to which gravel and charcoal are added at the rate of one cup per gallon each.
